La lutte sera très chaude pour obtenir les 2 places de finalistes. Une chose est sûre, la couronne de Champion du Monde va changer de tête, Amar DIOKH est maintenant hors course.
C'est l'ébullition dans les délégations du Mali, de la Côte d'Ivoire et de la Guinée où l'on rêve de ramener un premier titre de Champion du Monde de Scrabble dans son pays.
Dans les autres délégations encore en course, la motivation est à son comble chez les Sénégalais, pays hôte et les Français (Pascal régulier et Antonin revanchard après sa petite déconvenue en Elite).
